BUDGAM: Bismah, a four-year-old girl was mauled to death by a stray bear in Budgam district, official source said here today.
They said a bear entered village Bangund, Chadoora from a nearby forest and pounced on the girl playing in her courtyard. Beast dragged her away into the nearby forest.
Later torso of the girl was recovered in the forest with severed head at a distance. Pall of gloom desencded on the village anf People protested against the wildlife department for failing to stop infiltration of wild animals into villages.
