SRINAGAR: To review the arrangements put in place in connection with Gurpurab celebrations, a meeting was held here today with District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah.
The District Development Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE authorities to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply in and around all Gurdwaras of the district. PHE authorities were also directed to keep water tankers available at all Gurdwaras.
The District Development Commissioner directed the authorities of Srinagar Municipal Corporation to ensure proper cleanliness around all religious places of Sikh community and of all approach roads on this occasion.
He also directed the officers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution System to ensure adequate availability of essentials including kerosene oil and sugar for Langar of Gurdwara Chattipadshahi.
Shah directed the Transport authorities to ensure adequate transport facilities to Gurdwara Chatti Padshahi, Kathidarwaza and make arrangements for parking facilities around the Gurdwara.
He further directed the Health authorities to set up a mobile medical camp at the Gurdwara chattipadshahi.
