SRINAGAR: An Army officer was gunned down on Thursday allegedly by his subordinate following a quarrel over duty assignment in Kokernag area of Anantnag district.
Police said that Rajinder Singh, a junior commissioned officer (JCO) was shot dead by a Satish Kumar of 19-RR after a brawl between them inside the army camp at Kokernag.
Police said that a scuffle had taken place between the two some days back regarding the duty.
A case has been registered in this regard. We are waiting for postmortem report and further investigations are going on, policve said.
He said the accused was immediately taken into custody in Police Station Kokernag for questioning.
