Where are bodies of 22 militants killed in Keran?
SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Saturday alleged that by giving hype to infiltration and border skirmishes, India was creating a ploy to wage war on Pakistan Controlled Kashmir (PCK).
Addressing an Eid Milan, Geelani asked: Where are the bodies of 22 militants who India claims to have killed in Keran operation? The senior separatist leader said that India is weighing its options for waging war on PCK by portraying a dismal situation of peace on borders. Why there was no identification of bodies of militants who Indian army claimed to have killed in Keran. This is all done to malign the ongoing struggle in Kashmir and besides that India wants to corner Pakistan for its alleged role in infiltration across borders, Geelani observed.
The senior separatist leader said that Keran operation continued for 15 days and during this operation it was said that some 40 people have infiltrated to this side of the border who occupied a village and out of those 40 people, it was claimed that 22 have been killed.
But till date this incident has not been confirmed nor has any identification of bodies taken place, Geelani remarked.
While rejecting the past agreements between India and Pakistan about Kashmir, Geelani said that such agreements were signed in absence of the Kashmiri leadership and therefore the agreements of Tashkent, Shimla and Lahore cannot be implemented in Kashmir.
He said the government at Centre is trying to secure its vote bank by giving hype to LoC tension. They are scared that Modi factor in BJP would sweep the coming polls and the Congress government is trying to show that it can attack Pakistan and is not coward and they are trying to give notion that it is aggressive towards Pakistan. Geelani accused Delhi of once again staging drama of creation of Bangladesh. They once again are trying to repeat history and this time the other part of Kashmir is a prime target.
Castigating Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the recent arrest of pro-freedom leader Shabir Shah at Hazratbal during congregational Eid prayers, Geelani alleged that Shah was dragged out of Hazaratbal infront of Omar and the chief minister did not react at all. How can we accept his lecture on justice and equality?
Commenting on the recent relocation of CRPF from the Gargan camp at Shopian, Geelani said that only uniforms have been changed and police has been deployed there instead of CRPF. The announcement of the inquiry commission into the civilian killings at Shopian is a tactic to save the culprits, he claimed. (KNS)
