SRINAGAR: Anjuman-e-Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar today announced that the Eid-al-Azha congregational prayers would be offered at Jamia Mosque on Wednesday.
Due to the incessant rains, the congregational Eid prayers shall be offered at Jamia Masjid instead of Eid Gah Srinagar, KNS quoting an Auqaf official said today. The prayers would be led by Imam Hai Maulana Sayeed Naqshbandi and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq would deliver the Eid sermon, he said.
Pertinently Eid Gah grounds, the renovation process of which was set in motion by the previous government led by Mufti Sayeed, remains incomplete five years after the National Conference took over reigns of the state. Most of the ground remains in dilapidated shape and work at some places moves on at snails pace.

We should at this delicate time remember the sacrifices rendered by the people for the cause of freedom and must should not undermine the importance of the struggle for the just cause.
