SRINAGAR: The authorities on Tuesday said that the CRPF camp at Gargan Shopian has been relocated and appealed to the people of the area to cooperate with the authorities for the restoration of normalcy.
Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, said that the whole camp of CRPF has been shifted from Gargan and police has been deployed in the camp.
He further mentioned that it was expected in the coming days that the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) will establish his office in the camp.
The Superintendent of police Shopian when contacted confirmed the reports of the relocation of CRPF from the Gargan camp and said that the CRPF has been shifted to District Police Lines Shopian.
He further stated that police has taken the charge of the camp and IRP-18 of Police has been stationed.
