Srinagar: Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather on behalf of Chief Minister while replying to a question by Syed Nayeem Akhtar Indrabi informed the House that the General Administration Department vide notification dated 26-06-2013, invited applications from public spirited citizens/NGOs/Associations/Societies etc. of J&K State for the award of the Chief Ministers Vigilance Medal, 2013 and the same were notified in different newspapers and put in public domain.
The Minister further said that all the Administrative Secretaries and All Deputy Commissioners were requested to furnish their nominations, recommendations, alongwith bio-data and certificates in the prescribed format given in Government order NO. 95-GAD (Vig) of 2006, dated 29-12-2006. The said applications were received in the General Administration Department (Vig) till 15th July, 2013.
Rather further said that nominations/recommendations received from different quarters were placed before the Committee constituted vide Government order No. 95-GAD (Vig) of 2006, dated 29-12-2006 for a decision and accordingly awards were given to different persons.
