SRINAGAR: Joint Consultative Committee, an amalgam of various employee unions, Sunday said that it would convene an important meeting on October 7 (Monday) to decide about the future course of action.
JCC leader Abdul Rouf Bhat said that the random arrest of employees in no way could discourage the employees leadership who are hiding fearing the wrath of present autocratic government.
Bhat, who heads Secretariate Employees Union condemened the random arrests of government employees and said that government could not cow down the employees by its repressive measurs. He said that employee leadershiph is going to held an important meeting on Monday in which future course of action would be decided.
Meanwhile a meeting of Joint Consultative Committee issued an appeal for release all its leaders detained recently by the police.
We have 18 employees leaders detained at central jail and 60 at district police lines Srinagar, said Farooq Ahmad Trali adding that JCC will offer wide spread arrests voluntarily if its leaders continue to remain detained.
