SRINAGAR: Senior cabinet minister Taj Mohiudin today said that the stubbornness of the employees leaders was compelling the government to impose Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) in the state.
Taj said that the strike affects common masses at large and people suffer due to this move across the state. We have the right to impose ESMA in the state and the decision has been taken by cabinet that the employees who desist from discharging their duties shall be dealt with strictly, said Taj adding that employee leaders were misusing their authority.
Taj further stated that the government had invited employees leaders for negotiations on table but time and again they seem to be reluctant in resolving the issues amicably. The doors for the negotiations are open. We want employees to settle down the issues on table than on streets.
