Srinagar: Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Dilip Trivedi who is on 3-day visit to review security scenario in the Valley met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence. DG CRPF also visited several parts of South Kashmir and held discussion with CRPF officials posted there.
Inspector General CRPF, P.K.Singh told CNS that Dilip Trivedi arrived in Valley Friday evening to review the security situation of Kashmir Valley. He visited Tral and other parts of South Kashmir and discussed the situation that prevailed aftermath Shopian incident, Singh said.
CRPF spokesperson said that DG CRPF presided a high level meeting of CRPF officials in Tral, Islamabad and Pulwama districts in the backdrop of the Shopian incident.
Earlier DG CRPF met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and both had a threadbare discussion over the prevailing security scenario in Kashmir. Dilip Trivedi will leave for New Delhi on Sunday afternoon.
