Allegations on Army vindicates Hurriyat stand
SRINAGAR: Castigating National Conference for fooling people of Jammu and Kashmir over Government toppling report, MLA Langete, Er Rashid Saturday said that Ghulam Hasan Mir is the Cabinet Minister of Omar Abdullah Government and why Omar Abdullah, instead of making hue and cry, was not showing him the door.
I fail to understand what National Conference wants to prove. Mir is their minister. They are blaming him for destabizing their government but not taking any action against him. Does it mean that Omar Abdullah is an ornamental head who has nothing in his hands, Rashid said.
He said if allegations against Mir are true then he must resign and Omar Abdullah must show him the door. If Mir in league with former Army Chief really tried to disturb the peace in Valley then the matter needs to be probed either by CBI or some other credible agency, he said.
Er Rashid said that if it is true then it vindicates the stance of Hurriyat Conference which repeatedly says that they are spearheading a peaceful movement. I personally believe that the sacred movement of Kashmir was tarnished by vested interests and the matter should be thoroughly probed, he said.
Meanwhile Rashid in a press statement said that the Congresss role as usual seems to be dubious and they seem to be working on the hidden agenda and want to make Kashmir a battle field for their political likings.
The charges have raised serious question marks on the professional working of Indian army and it has also proved that this whole drama was being played to encourage fake encounters and give a notion that situation by no means is conducive for revocation of AFSPA, Er Rashid said adding even Kashmiris have a perception that there leaders sell them out and believe that even many of them are on the pay roles of both Indian and Pakistani agencies, thus making this holy land a battle field of vested interests.
It seems as if intelligence agencies and army are bent up to create confusion in Kashmir and do everything to stop genuine Kashmiri leadership from fighting for their political rights. If charges on Singh and Mir are believed to be true regarding their role in 2010 agitation then it automatically vindicates stand of those sincere Kashmiris who have been claiming that their movement for resolution for Kashmir dispute is purely peaceful and stone pelting is always a reaction to the use of isproportionate force used by security forces. The allegations are enough to count the blood of those innocent martyrs who lost their lives in 2010 on theheads of General V.K Singh and his gangsters, he said.
