Srinagar: President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan today in a statement said that he is shocked to know from a press note of Times of India on September 19, 2013 that one student died and another medico is battling for life at AIIMS because of drug abuse at pulse (immoral cultural show) at AIIMS Delhi
The host faculty of AIIMS made a shocking revelation that during this immoral show apart from indecent items, medicos consume banned drugs like cannabis, lsd, alcohol etc. As per the faculty of AIIMS there is no administrative control or monitoring of activities like drinking and late night partying during the event. Even Delhli police are seized of the matter and the event place has been sealed.
This is a reply to those who justify sending female medicos for performing in such immoral show. GMC authorities have justified sending of female medicos by calling it as academic event which is far from truth.
Few days back DAK in a press statement had come out with the event program of pulse which is all vulgar and rude.
It is a shame on parents of those medicos who have allowed their female children to go to this indecent immoral show.
Despite DAK and other organizations protesting against sending of female medicos to this immoral cultural show, GMC authorities and parents of children are indifferent and insensitive.
Our protest has made no difference neither to GMC authorities nor parents otherwise they should have got the medicos back.
DAK infers conspiracy of promoting immorality in our society. This nurturing and inculcating of immorality in our society is with a design to hollow our cultural traditions and religious sentiments.
This is done at the behest of agencies to project normalcy in Kashmir. They want to indulge youngsters in menial activities so that they forget the core issue. This is unacceptable and intolerable to us and we will not allow it to happen at any cost. We have life to defend our culture and cause.
It is distressing and disgusting that people of the valley are insensitive to this menace. They have to stand against this menace and save the society from immorality.
It is painful that Media is indifferent towards this issue and they are ignoring this grave issue. Media has a responsibility to highlight such evils to save the society from deterioration. They cannot avoid these evils by saying that it is their discretion what to carry and what not .They cannot confine to carrying various viewpoint only. They must understand that they are doing a service as any other profession to this ailing nation and they have to show empathy towards this unfortunate nation.
Leaders of the nation must realize that apart from carrying the freedom struggle, they have to protest against social evils. It is a morally evolved and upright society that can ultimately lead to a successful revolution.
So the call is for everybody to protest against this conspiracy. We have to expose elements involved in this conspiracy and punish them. We cannot send our children to immoral cultural shows at a time when Kashmir is burning and people are killed. We should socially boycott these families involved in consciously sending their female children to this indecent show ,thus send a message across that immorality is unacceptable to people of Kashmir.
