SRINAGAR: Zonal operational research workshop, North Zone RNTCP was organised by centre by central T.B Division Government of India in collaboration with Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Srinagar and T.B cell Directorate of Health Service, Kashmir at SKIMS Auditoriums here today.
Threadbare discussions were made on the subject and guidelines were issued to the Medical officers who were present in the workshop. The experts highlighted the efforts of RNTCP in the workshop it was also disclosed in the workshop that Medical Collage involvement has been largely successful and efforts were made for sensitization of cause in private sector. The Director, Health Service, Kashmir has also thread lights on preventation of T.B and stressed proper T. B diagnose and case management reduce T. B transmission and he also exhorted to address the problems of emergence of drag resistant T.B. He said that the all information should be completed for all T. B cases in valley.
The total number 50 experts from Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Panjab, Chandigarh, Utter Pardesh, Uttaranchal Pardesh and New Delhi also participated in the workshop and discussed objectives of the workshop.
The workshop was attended by Ex. HOD, Medicines, Chairman, National Task Force, Chairman North Zone OR, Committee, Director, Health Service, Kashmir and State T. B. officer.
