Notification Out On Spl Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls

Srinagar: The Election Commission of India have notified Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls 2013, with January 1st 2014 as the qualifying date and specified the period for filing claims and objections in this behalf from coming Monday to Tuesday.

As per the notification issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, all such persons who will attain the age of 18 years on January 1st 2014 are eligible to apply for inclusion in the Electoral Rolls.

Any person who thus becomes eligible for inclusion as a voter or any existing voter whose name or other particulars may not have been correctly incorporated in the Electoral Roll can apply for such inclusion in the Electoral Roll along-with two coloured passport size photographs or for necessary correction , as the case may be, before the Electoral Registration Officers (Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Secretary Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (Tehsildar Nazool Srinagar/ Tehsildar Recovery Srinagar / Tehsildar Srinagar South / Tehsildar Srinagar North / Chief Enforcement Officer SMC/Chief Sanitation Officer, SMC/ Purchase and Procurement Officer, SMC/Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Srinagar Municipal Corporation / Assistant Secretary (P), Srinagar Municipal Corporation / Chief Revenue Officer, Srinagar Municipal Corporation/Transport Officer, SMC.) and the Booth Level Officer (BLO) of the relevant Polling Station within the above specified period, the notification reads.
