Srinagar: Khurram Parvez, Spokesperson of Haqeeqat-e-Kashmir (The reality of Kashmir) Monday said that it was a matter of grave concern and hurt to know that Jammu & Kashmir Bank was one of the sponsors of musical concert organised by Ministry of Home and External Affairs in collaboration with German Embassy.
The bank as a public institution and a commercial organisation does not serve any interests of its stakeholders besides the people of this state through this sponsorship, rather have blemished their image and standing in the state through this ill-conceived collaborative effort, he said in a statement.
Jammu & Kashmir Bank is an institution vested essentially with public trust and not just money for which its leadership remains ever accountable towards the society and people of this state. Being part and parcel of this society, we expect the leadership of this bank especially Chairman to listen to the call of conscience and withdraw the banks support for this politically motivated anti-people event, he said.
