Chief Minister would soon expose these leaders: Kamal
Srinagar: National Conference senior leader, Dr Shiekh Mustafa Kamal Monday said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah would soon forward the names of three Congress leaders to Congress High Command who have become hurdle in holding Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the State.
It is a white lie on part of the Congress leadership that National Conference is using delay tactics in holding ULB Elections. The reality is that there are three Congress leaders who for their petty gains have become the hurdle in getting these elections held in time, Kamal told Srinagar based news agency CNS adding that the track record of this party makes it clear that it is adept in back-stabbing.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is mulling to present the names of these three Congress leaders before the Congress High Command so that they would get exposed, he said.
Additional General Secretary of National Conference said that Congress leaders like Soz, Azad and Ambika Soni are making tall claims about the performance of the Congress party in the State while the reality is that most of the Ministers found indulging in corrupt practices pertain to Congress party.
If the present government has committed some mistakes that means Congress is equally responsible for that as it is the part and parcel of the present government, Kamal said adding that it was a compulsion to form government with Congress party.
Dr Shiekh Mustafa Kamal said that it was Congress party which pleaded before NC soon after 2008 Assembly Elections and persuaded us to form Coalition government with them. Azad was ditched by PDP and it was in no mood that time to seek their friendship. We did not request or force this party to form Coalition Government. Now if this party is targeting NC in their meetings that is not our fault but the truth is that the leaders of this party have failed to deliver the goods, he said.
Kamal said that NC suffered heavily by forming government with the Congress. (CNS)
