BARAMULLA: A boy drowned in the river Jehlum in Baramulla, official sources said here today.
They said Asif Ahmad Mir drowned in the river Jehlum at Chakla in Baramulla. However, those present in the area also jumped into river but could not save Asif.
Later, the body was fished out from a distance and handed over to his relatives, they said.
