SRINAGAR: Governor NN Vohra, deeply disturbed and pained by the happenings in the last three days, has appealed to the people comprising all the communities in the State to maintain communal harmony and peace.
In a statement issued here today, the Governor has also appealed to the leaders of all the political, religious and social groups and members of the civil society to urgently join hands to reinvigorate inter-community bonds and strengthen societal harmony.
The Governor, who has been closely monitoring the situation which evolved after the 9th August 2013 incidents in Kishtwar, has been kept briefed by Chief Minister in the past three days.
