RSS, VDC members have virtually waged war against Jammu Muslims
SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani Monday reiterated his demand for dissolution of VDCs and strongly criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullahs statement in which he had favored VDCs.
Calling for a complete shutdown on August 15 and 16 Geelani in his appeal to people stressed authorities for immediate dissolution and disarmament of VDCs.
He warned authorities and asked to remove restrictions and police siege from his residence and claimed that he intends to visit the affected areas and work for the restoration of peace and tranquillity. RSS, VDC members and Jana Sangh have virtually waged a war against Muslims in Jammu and have planned for ethnic cleaning in said areas, he alleged.
While castigating administration for sheer negligence, he said, Instead of providing security, Omar Abdullah is pleading for their wrongdoings and providing a clean chit to culprits involved in arson, rapes and killings. While referring to the Gool incident Geelani said after the killing of four innocents and alleged desecration of Holy Quran, Omar came to the rescue of culprits and instead blamed religious preacher for none of his fault.
While lashing at Omar he claimed that once again he came to rescue for those involved in stone pelting, rape of a minor girl and killing of 16 year old innocent boy. Omer is playing a foul and appeasing his masters in Delhi, he claimed. While referring Asiya and Neelofar alleged rape and murder case, Geelani recalled that Omar played a key role in saving personnel involved in double murder and sexual assault case.
Geelani pledged that We wont allow any body to repeat 1947 like mayhem. Criticizing vested elements he said that these elements are hell-bent to repeat Gujarat like disturbances and wowed to oppose such designs. He called for complete shutdown on August 16 and said that it was a symbolic resentment and protest demonstration against high handedness and for dissolution of VDCs.
