SRINAGAR: Normal life was disrupted Sunday in Valley due to a strike call extended by Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani to protest against the Kishtwar communal clashes that has left three persons dead and loss of property worth crores.
Shops, business establishments and petrol pumps remained closed.
Though public transport was off the roads, private cars and auto rickshaws were seen plying. Geelani had appealed people to observe shut down against the biased approach of the state administration in dealing with the situation in Kishtwar.
