Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen on Friday rebuffed the police claims that its chief Syed Salahudin had ordered the killing of srapnaches and panchs (Panchayat members) in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
The accusations by police that Hizb chief Syed Salahudin ordered killing of sarpanches and panchs is very awful and we strongly condemned it, a spokesman of Hizb Saleem Hashmi said in a statement.
The police officers are forgetting that Salahudin is a cherished leader of the state and such a commander who is running the resistance movement in light of holy Quran and Sunnah (teaching and practice of prophet Mohammad (SAW)), he said, adding, He considers the killing of humans as incredulous.
The spokesman said that there is already an unambiguous stand by Syed Salahudin regarding the panchayat members.
Since the Panchayat members are being exploited by pro-Indian parties, they can be an easy target of any person or group and there is every likelihood that they can be a target of Indian intelligence agencies that put blame on (militants).
Blaming Salahudin, he said, is a part of this thinking on part of police and state government.
State police authorities must not forget that power and pride is short living, he said, adding, The freedom struggle of Kashmir is entering into a decisive phase and there is going to be a sea change in the regional situation in near future, such changes will have a positive impact on freedom struggle of Kashmir.
