Srinagar: A greedy son left his mother homeless by inheriting all her property fraudulently.
Relating her woeful tale an elderly woman, Maqboola Begum, wife of late Noor Mohammad Khan of Jawahar Nagar area of the city, said that her son Ishtiyaq Ahmed Khan cheated her by executing a transfer deed fraudulently and transferred all the property to his wifes name.
We are owning DHL commercial building at Lambert Lane Regal Chowk. Before leaving for Hajj, I as an affectionate mother gave General Power of Attorney to my son whom I trusted blindly, she said.
She said that her son never revealed his misdeeds in front of her and the truth came to fore when his son without her consent received a goodwill of Rs 10 Lakhs from a person whom he sold one of the shops from the complex.
I was shocked to learn that my son had executed transfer deed fraudulently and made her wife Jabeena Khan the sole owner of all my property, she said adding that after listening the news her another son left for Japan for good and she is all alone living in a small room in this old age.
She said that she fails to understand who signed on the transfer deed on her behalf. These signatures are forged and my greedy son must be punished, she said.
The alleged fake transfer deed reads that Jabeena Khan wife of Ishtiyaq Ahmed Khan resident of Jawahar Nagar shall be now the owner of land measuring 9 marlas along with the fur storied commercial building under Khasra number 148 and 149 min situated at Khothi Bagh (Lambert Lane) Tehsil Khas District Srinagar.
