SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Friday termed Gool killings as unbearable and condemned unleashing of a reign of terror against the people especially youth who protested against that massacre.
While addressing a public meeting at central chowk Tral, Yasin Malik said that Gool massacre once again proved that Kashmiris were unsafe even in their houses and villages and this vulnerability was because of the presence of government forces and army in every nook and corner of Jammu Kashmir. After the Gool massacre we all saw pro- India leaders and parties issuing statements of condemnation, demanding immediate arrest and punishment for those who killed innocents but when the people of Kashmir protested against the massacre same pro India rulers imposed curfew and curbs and unleashed a reign of terror against those youth who protested against the Gool crime, he alleged.
Malik claimed that today thousands of youth are either arrested, tortured in police stations or hunted by the forces. Crackdowns, nocturnal raids have made the life of these young boys most of them students hell and put their future at stake. The arrested youth are being subjected to humiliation and often heavy ransom is demanded for their release. This spree of arrests and reign of terror is actually very strange and speaks volumes about the dictatorial and Hippocratic behavior, double speak and action of so called rulers .this attitude also shows their Kashmir enmity and anti people behaviour, the JKLF chairman alleged.
He said that today these rulers and their officers claim that 90 percent of Kashmiris are anti-violence and also claim to have defeated the resistance. Yes it may be true that 90 percent Kashmiris are against violence but it is an established fact that 90 percent of people of Jammu Kashmir stand for Azadi. International organizations like BBC, CNN IBN, Dawn group and Gallop international surveys have endorsed this fact, he claimed. Dreaming to defeat a popular movement is dream of a crazy as no power on earth can defeat it or finish it through military might.
He said that rulers who unleash terror against peoples movements and try to suppress their voice by police and military might have no right to call themselves democratic. Malik accompanied by other JKLF leaders left for Tral early in the morning and straight away went to the houses of Shaheed Enjineer Saifullah Ahangar, Shaheed Shahnawaz Syed, Shaheed Shabir Ahmad, and Shaheed Ajaz Ahmad Laway. Malik met with the families of these gallantry martyrs and paid rich tributes to them. He also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. After condolence meetings Malik sahib was taken to the central Chowk of Tral in a dignified rally. Later this procession turned into a public meeting which was addressed by Malik and others
Meanwhile JKLF has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Nazir Ahmad Hazari of Habakadal. Deceased Nazir Ahmad was the brother in law of JKLF leader Noor Mohammad Katjoo. JKLF delegation led by Noor Mohammad Kalwal visited the house of departed soul and expressed Condolences to his family.
