HANDWARA: President Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid Tuesday termed the silence of Government of India over the revelations made by a former Home Ministry official R V S Mani that Parliament and Mumbai attacks were carried by the agencies itself for vested interest, as criminal and shameful.
The silence of GoI itself authenticates the version put forward by the said official, he said while addressing a protest rally in Handwara against Gool Gulab Garh killings.
These operations were under the ambits of suspense from the day first but the astonishing facts revealed by the said officer should act as an eye opener for the Indians itself. If GoI is sincere in its claims of transparency regarding the issues related to investigations of the matter, it must come clean over the severe charges, he said. It is obvious that Kashmiris are being treated as worst than animals and who so ever or which so ever agency wants to suck their blood for one reason or the another for its vested interest is at liberty to do so.
Rashid said the recent revelations surfacing regarding formation of his own fake militant group in Pulwama by notorious police sub inspector Sonu authenticates that from Machill to Doda and from Mankandal to Gole Gulab Kashmiris blood is less precious than water for the security agencies. It is high time that GoI should show some respect towards the very fundamental rights of Kashmiris including their right to live and probe all the encounters which have taken place in suspicious circumstance and most probably have been carried out by the security agencies to gain medals and promotions.
Sentencing of two Kashmiri youth to life imprisonment by Calcutta Court is yet another proof that how Kashmiris are being tortured mentally and physically and are being treated like second class citizens by those who claim them to be their Attoot Aangh, he alleged.
Even if the charges that the said youth were found guilty of possessing illegal arms how can their punishment to life imprisonment be justified when they have already been languished in jail since last ten years. How can GoI and its institutions defend the discrimination when it comes to punishing Sanjay Dutt for few years and two Kashmiri Youth for life imprisonment in the similar offences and when Sanjay Dutt was known as much more trust worthy and respected man as compared to two Kashmiris who cry being innocent, he said.
The MLA Langate added that Kashmiris have every reason to doubt any thing that makes them to feel let down as they have been now used to fake encounters, fake enquires and finally to fake condolences. In light of the revelations made by Home
Ministry Official probing Ishrat Jahan Fake Encounter Case regarding Parliament attack, GoI owes an explanation and thorough probe not only to people of Kashmir but to justice loving people living on any part of the earth. It adds to the belief of every Kashmiri who have been crying Afzal Gurus innocence in the Parliament attack and has brought GoI at a very weak moral wicket over the genuineness of barbaric murder of Afzal Guru, he added.
Rashid further said that the way police and other security agencies are showing hostile attitude towards the Kashmiris who are mourning innocent deaths of Chinab Valley and are arresting youth all across the state for their alleged involvement in the stone pelting, is highly condemnable and such drastic acts would not stop Kashmiris from raising their voice against state terrorism.
