Srinagar: The School of Legal Studies Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in collaboration Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) organized a workshop on the Jammu and Kashmir Police Bill-2013 at its Transit Campus in Sonwar here on Monday.
CUK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdul Wahid inaugurated the workshop and asked the participants to submit the concrete recommendations about the Bill to the concerned quarters for subsequent implementation.
Among others present in the workshop included, Mr. A M Wattali, Former IGP Kashmir and Vice-Chairman IIPA, Mr. S S Wazir former DGP, Dr. Haseeb Mughal SP CID, Mr. Showkat Ahmad Mir former SP, Muhammad Syed Former SP, G M Andrabi Joint Secretary IIPA and Former SP, Dean school of Legal Studies, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din, Prof. M Afzal Qadri, and scholars of the Legal Studies department.
The participants deliberated about the pros and cons of the Bill and suggested some changes.
