Bandipore: In an attempt to nail the down culprits and speed up the investigation into the killing of two Sumbal youth, police called an important eyewitness for questioning on Tuesday.
“Soon after the driver Manzoor Ahmed Shiekh of Markundal, Sumbal revealed before media that he was accompanying 13 RR when they killed Irfan Ahmed Ganaie in coldblood, police called him for questioning.
We have not arrested Manzoor only called him for questioning. We have not questioned him so far as we are busy in maintaining law and order in the area. He is an important witness, said SDPO Sumbal, Irshad Ahmed.
SHO Sumbal said Manzoor was an important witness and his statement could help in cracking the case. We have already registered a murder case against the army and investigation is going on, he said.
