SRINAGAR – Medical Employees Joint Action Forum (MEJAF), while showing utmost displeasure over the criminal silence of the government over spurious drug scandal, Saturday said the minister involved in this crime was still occupying the berth in Cabinet and there was no way to believe that the guilty would be punished.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, President MEJAF, Dr Nisar-ul-Haq said that as a mark of protest against the inaction shown by the government in the spurious drug scam, we have decided that all the doctors and paramedical staff of the valley will wear black badges on the arrival of Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson on June 26.
Dr. Nissar demanded a suspension of all the members of the Central Purchase Committee and other board members.
If Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi want to give some solace to the people of Valley, then they should direct their minister to step aside from his cabinet position till an impartial probe is conducted and completed, he said.
