SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday received brief on prevailing security and law and order situation in the state at the Unified Headquarters meeting he chaired here.
Arrangements put in place to conduct Amarnath Yatra peacefully and securely were taken stock of besides other issues relating to the security and law and order, an official spokesman said in a statement.
Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, GoC-in-C Northern Command, Lt. Gen. K. T. Parnaik, Principal Secretary Home, Suresh Kumar, Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad, GoC XV Corps, GoC XIV Corps, GoC XVI Corps, GoC IX Corps, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, BB. Vyas, Divisional Commissioners, Kashmir and Jammu. Special Director General CRPF, IGP CID J&K, IGP Kashmir, IGP Jammu, IG CRPF (Admn. Kashmir), Joint Director IB, IG BSF Jammu, IG CRPF Jammu, IG Operation CRPF Kashmir, Commissioner SB Jammu and Media Advisor Bharti Vaid were present in the meeting.
