JAMMU – A Special Police Officer (SPO) was arrested while departmental inquiry has been initiated against two other cops for allegedly molesting a mentally-sick girl in Hiranagar area of Kathua district.
The SPO identified as Raj Kumar of village Chappad, was arrested while inquiry has been initiated against another SPO Naresh and Head Constable Sardari Lal, all posted in Hiranagar police station for allegedly molesting a girl last evening in Dayalachak area of Hiranagar, a police official here said.
He said the policemen were molesting the girl when a passerby noticed their activities and immediately informed the senior police official, following which, police acted swiftly and arrested the SPO.
The SPO Raj Kumar has been arrested under Section 354 while departmental inquiry has been initiated against other two cops, he said.
