SRINAGAR – Director General Youth Services and Sports Navin Agarwal in function held today awarded 35 bright students from Srinagar with scholarships.
Pertinently, these students had shone and brought laurels while competing for different mega state level sporting events.
In this regard, 85 students are to be awarded with scholarships as rest would be felicitated in next phases. Speaking on the occasion, Director General Youth Services and Sports Navin Agarwal ( IPS) stated The achievements by these students makes us feel proud and I hope they improve upon their performances. Those who have achieved Bronze should aim for Silver and silver should aim for Gold .The Department would ensure every sort of support to students so as to excel and make their state proud by their performances.
Deputy Director, Youth Services and Sports, Kashmir, Nilofer Amin along with District Sports Officer Srinagar, Sarabjeet Singh, teachers & parents of the students were also present on the occasion.
District Sports Officer, Sarabjeet Singh stated – We would continuously organize such events in order to boost the students in the field of sports and hone their talent in right direction.
Some of the students who had done exceedingly well were also rewarded with handsome cash reward. More importantly, the students who received scholarships belonged to both Private and Government Schools.
