aide arrested; Another victim comes forward
Budgam – Another victim of Gulzar Bhat today recorded her statement before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Budgam accusing the tainted dervish of sexually abusing her. Meanwhile, Gulzar Bhat was again produced before the Court during the early hours on Tuesday while police sealed all the entry points of the Court and didnt allow anyone to enter into the premises .
A police official, who is a part of the investigation process, said todays witness was the seventh girl to come forward and record her statement. The girl voluntarily recorded her statement before Chief Judicial Magistrate Budgam Gowhar Majid Dalal,charging the fake dervish with sexual exploitation, the official, wishing anonymity, said.
Superintendent of Police Budgam, Utam Chand said that after verifying the state of health of the accused, the Court directed the police to shift him to Central jail. The accused has been shifted to Central Jail, Srinagar, he said.
Meanwhile a police said one more close aide of Gulzar Bhat was arrested during a raid. We are questioning him and hopefully something constructive will come out once his questioning is over, he said.
