BUDGAM: Amid rains, hundreds of people from different hamlets of Khansahab area of Budgam Sunday staged protests against police inability to catch the close aides of recently held high profile fake Dervish Gulzar Bhat.
Protestors were demanding thorough and transparent probe in the case.
Scores of people from Srinagar also participated in the demonstrations. The protestors from Parniwa, Banderpore, Drigam, Numbelhar , Krimshora, Palapora, Wagar, Katch, Raithan, Aarigam, Bugar marched towards Shamsabad amid anti-Gulzar Bhat slogans thug ko phansi dou thag kay sathiyoun ko girftar karo.
Though many among the protestors were appreciative of the role of police so far, however they regretted that many close-aides of fake dervish were still at large and no step was being taken to nab them.
We demand immediate arrest of all of his close-aides so that everything will come to fore, Saadudin, a protestor said.
Police stopped the protestors from marching further towards the so-called religious centre of fake-faith healer.
Meanwhile scores of hamlets observed a complete shutdown in the district to press for further action into the matter.
Expose hidden hand: Andrabi
Meanwhile Dukhtaran-i-Millat chairperson Aasiya Andrabi Sunday said that scandalous and tainted Darvish Gulzar Bhat could not have prospered without the support of any particular agency.
There is a hidden hand which needs to be exposed. Police is a part of system and we cant expect anything from this system and I know ultimately he will be given clean chit and the case will be shelved once for all, Andrabi said in an interview with CNS.
She said the culprits involved in infamous sex-scandal were given promotions soon after their release.
She said it is shame for those who followed this fake faith-healer who tarnished the chastity of scores of our daughters. I know Gulzar when he was just 12. He was once forced by his own locality to migrate from the area. He always used to befool women. Some hidden hands befriended him with an intention to bring a slur on the fair name of Islam and the height of ignorance is that parents left their daughters at the mercy of this quack despite knowing the tenants of Islam, she said.
Andrabi said that she was the first person who came forward to get the culprits involved in Sabina Sex-Scam punished. I have a bitter experience of that case and I know same will be repeat that in Gulzars case as well. He along with his close-aides will be given free hand and they will continue to exploit innocent Kashmiri girls. I dont trust present system and I am dead sure the case will be shelved soon, she claimed.
She said that the biggest question is where from Gulzar received such huge amount of money. Who was funding him? A particular person was looking into his financial accounts. It is big network involving band of notorious persons, she said. Andrabi disclosed that the victims of Gulzar first approached her and she knows everything about it.
Scandalous Gulzar was doing everything in an organized manner. Gulzar with the help of his selected aides was motivating girls to join their centre. These girls later on used to organize conferences and used to lure other girls. You can imagine about the well-planned organization of Gulzar that even girls from Rajouri and Poonch were present in his Shamsabad Centre, Andrabi said and added that Gulzar used to provide expensive mobile phone to every girl student and bore all their travel and other expenses.
