SRINAGAR: APHC (M) Chairman and head of Awami Action Committee Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who remained under house for the fifth day on Wednesday, said that government resorted to dictatorial politics by stopping Hafta-eShohada programme and May 21 Eidgah march by using force and coercion.
He said the blatant use of force on the young protesters by using pellet guns which inflicted lethal injuries to them amounts to extreme form of political retribution.
Mirwaiz said that Suhail Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Majid Khan of Khalid Colony Soura has been critically injured after he was targeted by pellets by forces. He said the injured has been hospitalized in Soura medical institute and is reported to be in extremely critical condition. He sternly condemned the Govt. and security agencies for targeting Suhail and other scores of youth by pellets.
Meanwhile, the spokesman said the APHC Chairman has instructed the legal aid cell of the conglomerate to file a case in the court against the use of pellet gun, pepper gas and chilly grenades by the police and security agencies against the common masses.
Mirwaiz has thanked people for observing complete a strike in Kashmir on the National day of May 21 to pay tributes martyrs who have laid their lives for the supreme cause.
By observing the strike, he said Kashmiris have once again shown their resolve with the freedom struggle thereby openly expressing their desire to take the mission of the martyrs forward till it reaches its logical conclusion.
