SRINAGAR: Chairman of the hardline faction of the Hurriyat Conference today lashed out at the local administration for what he termed as their ‘deceptive and selfish approach’ claiming that though the “occupation by Indian forces was the main concern, but the ruling class in order to legitimize the occupation and appease their masters indulge in stupid adventures which multiply agonies and woes the people”.
While rejecting the proposal for implementation of SARFAESI ordinance as deemed by RBI, Syed Ali Geelani expressed surprise over the assurance endorsed by Omer Abdullah.
Geelani claimed that the proposed move will prove detrimental and will cause unprecedented damage to interests of people of state.
Terming the said ordinance against the interests of people of state and deliberate attempt to dilute special status, Syed Ali Geelani opposed the said law and added that it is aimed at to provide one more unconstitutional entry for those outsiders who intend to occupy the estates through illegal, means.
Syed Ali Geelani while commenting over the proposal said that this ordinance would pave way for the authorities to seiz the properties of those borrowers and bank defaulters and the properties and assets so seized will go into the hands of outsiders through the proposed auction .Syed Ali Geelani added that though the article 370 guaranties the special status for state and the article lays that no property or land shall go to the people residing outside state through sale deed and auction but the said proposal of RBI will pave way for the transfer of property and land.
While in his staunch opposition to said ordinance, Syed Ali Geelani warned that it would have disastrous impact over the political status of State .Syed Ali Geelani while lamenting the role played by the local political parties, said that they have always for their vested interests played against the wishes of people and blaming the National Conference Syed Ali Geelani added that they for the lust of power have bargained the special status of state.
National Conference though claiming to be the champion for so-called Autonomy and projecting itself as saviour and mentor for Article 370 has always deceived the people of state, said Syed Ali Geelani. They handed over thousands Kanals of land to Indian forcses and enacted infamous Land Grants Bill. Syed Ali Geelani in his statement warned the state authorities and said that,we will oppose the proposed SARFAESI bill and we will make people aware about the proposed bill.
We wont play as mute spectator and we feel our duty to warn the rulers about the effects and miseries it will bring to people of Jammu and Kashmir. While reaffirming his faith in freedom struggle Syed Ali Geelani pledged that it is our prime duty and we will act as per the aspirations of people and added that for this purpose we will face the hardships and added we wont betray our people.
