SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir Mir Tariq Ali directed the Chief Education Officers to conduct inspections of the schools and to expedite the monitoring systems to ensure accountability and responsibility.
Chairing a meeting of all the CEOs of Kashmir in his office chamber, Ali directed them to implement all the decisions passed by Education Minister Tara Chand in his last review meeting in letter and spirit.
All the senior officers of Directorate including Personnel Officer, M A Simnani and Deputy Director Planning Mohammad Ashraf were present in the meeting. It was also decided that CEOs shall ensure that every school conducts a parent-teacher meeting on the first week of every month to make participatory education a reality in our education system. In the wake of recent earthquake all the CEO were directed to immediately report on the status of damaged and unsafe school buildings without any fail, a statement from the Directorate said.
The CEOs were also directed to implement all the flagship programmes of RMSA and SSA schemes in the school. The Director made it clear that work culture in the department has to be made a reality without any ifs and buts. He also said that all the recent promotees of different categories shall be adjusted very soon.
