SRINAGAR: Stressing his party workers to work for the development of the neglected parts of Kupwara district, Peoples Conference chairman Sajjad Gani Lone asked his party workers to gear up for the change.
At a party meeting in Kralgund Langate one said that the people of Langate have never hesitated from being strong proponents of the party during different phases of Kashmirs contemporary political past.
We will see to it that Langate gets justice and a deserving representation in the Legislative Assembly so that the constituencys grievances and issues are highlighted and addressed by a responsible elected representative who takes his sacred job seriously, Lone said to a huge gathering of his supporters.
The PC chairman alleged that it was policy of National Conference to economically persecute people who were opposed to the party so that NC could politically manipulate them and arm-twist them.
Successive NC governments have wreaked havoc with Langate and ensured that Langate remains backward and bereft of basic public infrastructure be it roads, transformers, dispensaries or government schools, Lone said.
Maintaining that 2014 would be a watershed year in the politics of Jammu and Kashmir, Lone asked his people to be ready for a change.
