SRINAGAR: State Congress President Prof. Saifudin Soz has welcomed the reappointment of N.N Vohra as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for the second consecutive term.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that Government of India have decided to appoint N. N. Vohra as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir State for another term. Soz said in a statement to KNS.
This measure will, among other things, promote stability and harmony in the State.
I have known Shri. Vohra for a long time. His secular credentials are fully recognized all over.
Vohra has already shown his culture and taste for equity and justice as basic principles for a balanced Social, Economic and Political Development in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
Meanwhile Parliament member and senior National Conference leader Gh. Nabi Ratanpuri also welcomed Vohras reappointment for second term.
Vohra has showed statesmanship at every crucial juncture. He was not swayed by rhetoric or sloganeering. His tenure as Governor has been a positive and pleasant change after the controversial tenure of his predecessor Gen. Sinha. Ratanpuri told KNS on Monday from New Delhi.

Meanwhile Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) and Agriculture Minister Gh. Hassan Mir while welcoming Vohras reappointment said, Vohra is statesman and hugely experienced to run a state like Jammu and Kashmir.
