JAMMU: Four Bills were introduced in the Legislative Assembly today.
Minister for Labour & Employment, Ajay Sadhotra introduced a Bill to amend the Jammu, and Kashmir Employees Provident Funds (and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1961. The LA Bill No. 5 of 2013 seeks change in the discretion of the employees to increase his/her contribution under EPF Scheme up to 14 per cent.
The L.A. Bill No. 6 of 2013 was introduced by the Minister for Finance, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather. The Bill seeks amendment in the enhancement of time limit for the Empowerment Committee constituted for regularization of Contractual/Adhoc/Consolidated employees in the State.
Minister for Social Welfare, Ms. Sakina Itoo introduced L.A. Bill No. 7 of 2013, which provides to consolidate and make amendment in the laws relating to the constitution of one or more Juvenile Justice Boards in the State for the proper care and protection of children.
The L.A. Bill No. 8 of 2013 was introduced by the Minister for Finance, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather on behalf of Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah. The Bill provides amendment in the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010. The Bill envisages relaxation in the provision to the women who intend to apply for recruitment after their marriage.
