SRINAGAR: Shalindra Kumar took over as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir here today.
Pertinently, Kumar prior to this posting has served as Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag and Srinagar districts, besides Secretary, Public Works Department and also was on Central deputation for a period of more than four years.
Soon after assuming his charge as Divisional Commissioner, he convened a meeting with the officers and officials in his office chamber. He enjoined upon the officers to work with dedication and honesty for welfare of the people.
Shalindra Kumar also exhorted upon the officers to work in a coordinated manner for expediting the ongoing development works besides achieving of tangible targets within the stipulated time.
The officers and officials of the divisional administration assured him full cooperation and support for ensuring responsive adminsitration.
