SRINAGAR: College and University students took out protest rallies in Srinagar demanding the return of bodies of Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru. Students also held protest demonstrations in other districts in Kashmir on the call of Mutahida Majlis-i-Mashawarat, (MMM) .
Boycotting their classes, the students of various colleges including Kashmir University assembled in respective campuses and took out protest rallies.
Kashmir University students who took out a procession were not allowed to venture outside the main gate.
Students, chanting pro-freedom slogans, however stayed at the gate and the rally was later on dispersed peacefully.
Rallies were taken out in Pulwama district of south Kashmir as well. In Kakapora, large number of students came on roads and held a peaceful rally. A huge rally was taken out by the students of Government Degree College Boys Anantnag. Rallies were also taken out in Kupwara, Bandipora, Shopian, Kulgam and Baramullah.
No rallies were taken out in SP College and Islamia College of Srinagar.
