SRINAGAR: Department of General & Minimal Invasive Surgery SKIMS is organizing 17th Postgraduate Research Presentation scheduled to be held on 28th, 29th and 30th March 2013 at SKIMS auditorium.
According to a statement issued by SKIMS PRO, all postdoctoral and postgraduate students who have completed their dissertations/ research projects will present their work in 17th PGRP. Post-Doctoral students will present their research work on 28th March while as postgraduates of the Department of Medicine & Allied Specialties and Department of Anesthesia and Surgery will present their papers on 29th and 30th March.
Director SKIMS & EX-officio Secretary to govt. Dr. Showkat Zargar hoped that students and scholars will avail this opportunity to present their work and the knowledge through quality research will benefit health care system. He said research is key in medical field and SKIMS is providing all possible resources to the students/ researchers to build upon the discoveries of the past, and to continue making new innovations in the future. I am optimistic that innovations through research will make common man the beneficiary of these achievements and help in improving patient care system which is top priority of SKIMS, he added.
The students have submitted research abstract by 15th January after due registration in a prescribed format. Selected presenters will make their final power point presentation of 8 minutes duration. Best presentations will be rewarded by a panel of Judges on basis of subject content, study design, statistical methodology presentation and time management.
