HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police are probing at their own level the death of Kashmiri youth Kamran Mudasir, who was found hanging in his hostel room at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on March 2.
Stating this today in the Assembly, Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo the police in Hyderabad have registered a case in this regard and are investigating the matter.
29-year-old Mudasir, son of a retired teacher in Pulwama district, was pursuing Ph.D at the EFLU, Kichloo informed the Assembly.
His body was brought to the state on March 4 and Pulwama district administration had deputed a team of doctors for its examination, Kichloo said.
Mudasir death had sparked protests in various parts of the state and a complete strike was observed in Pulwama town in protest against the death.
