JAMMU: The Speaker of Legislative Assembly has disallowed two out of three resolutions moved by CPI (M) MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami.
While seeking clarification from the Speaker about rules under which the two out of three resolutions were disallowed, Tarigami said the important issues need to be debated and discussed which is extremely important for strengthening of democratic institutions.
Resolution moved by the CPI (M) State Secretary on eradication of corruption has been admitted by the Assembly for discussion.
However, another two resolutions seeking return of power projects viz Salal (I & II), Uri (I), Dulhasti and Sewa II from NHPC to Jammu and Kashmir and return of mortal remains of Mohammad Afzal Guru respectively have been disallowed by the Speaker.
