SRINAGAR: Authorities have decided to lift curfew and restrictions from across the valley including the old city areas.
There has been significant improvement in the situation and therefore we have decided to lift curfew and restrictions from the city areas, outgoing Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samon said on Saturday evening.
He said that there will be no curfew in any part of the valley on Sunday.
Pertinently Curfew was reemployed in various towns and the entire Srinagar city on Wednesday after a youth was allegedly shot dead by CRPF in Eidgah area of Srinagar. The curfew was lifted from other towns of the valley on Saturday; however it remained imposed in 7 police stations in the Capital City on Saturday.
