SRINGAR: Three persons from Charar-i-Sharef town lost their life when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell in a stream near Digdol area of Ramban district on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
A Jammu bound Santro with registration number JK02AF-2816 met an accident near Digdol. The speedy Santro skidded off the road when the driver lost the control on the vehicle. Out of five persons including a child on board, three died on spot, a police official told CNS.
Three persons died in the accident are all from Central District Budgams Charar-i-Sharef town. They have been identified as Nazir Ahmed Kawa, Ahitisham Ahmed and Mohammad Tasaduq.
Meanwhile, Charar-e-Sharief town observed complete strike over these untimely deaths and large number of people participated in their funeral rites. Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the sad road accident on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway claiming precious human lives of young persons.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
