BARAMULLA: The District Plan review meeting was held here today under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Khawaja.
It was disclosed in the meeting that against the available amount of Rs. 85.72 crore, Rs. 55.24 crore have been expended on various developmental schemes in the district during the financial year.
The meeting was told that under the Health Sector Rs. 3.28 crore have been spent while Rs. 2.11 crore have been utilized under PHE sector for providing drinking water facilities to the people. In order to provide Irrigation facilities to the farmers of the district, as many as Rs. 1.43 crore have been expended on establishment of various minor irrigation schemes during the period.
Reviewing the achievements under MG NREGA schemes, the District Development Commissioner informed that Rs. 5.30 crore have been expended during the period under the said scheme. Besides, Rs. 13.68 crore also been expended on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme and Rs. 8.4 crore expended on adult education.
The District Development Commissioner stressed upon the officers to work with dedication and honesty for completion of ongoing developmental works within the stipulated timeframe.
