JAMMU: Minister of State for Technical Education and Information, Vikar Rasool, has said that necessary instructions have already been passed to ensure adequate power supply especially in rural and far-flung areas in the winter months.
The Minister was interacting with a deputation form Poonch led by MLA, Aijaz Jan.
The Deputationists, while expressing thanks for speedy restoration of power supply in Poonch district, said that they are grateful to the government. They also demanded allocation of additional funds for the border districts besides seeking early payment under MGNREGA.
Vikar assured the deputationists that all their problems and genuine demands would be looked into for an early redressal. He said that the government is committed to ensure that the people of the State get better facilities. In this regard, instructions have already been conveyed to the concerned for ensuring adequate supply of essential services especially power supply in border district of Poonch and other such parts of the State.
