SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front acting Chairman Bashir Ahmad Bhat while terming the sacrifices of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat as a symbol of resistance movement said Bhat had lighted the candle of freedom when Kashmiri nation was in deep slumber of slavery.
While addressing separate meetings of the front workers and leaders at Pulwama and Shopian, Bhat said, On 11th February 1984 our beloved and sincere leader was put on gallows and was buried within the premises of Dehlis tihar jail, and as such on the forthcoming 11th of the current month the whole nation of Jammu Kashmr will observe a black day with a complete bandh as usual
In the meeting, it was decided that as long as the mortal remains of our beloved leader will not be handed over to the kashmiri nation in general and Kashmir will not appear as an independent nation on the globe in particular ,the struggle of jammu Kashmir liberation front will continue, said the JKLF spokesman.
The meetings which were organised in connection with the Maqbool Day were presided by the acting chairman Adv Bashir Ahmed Bhat in which senior leaders Javaid Ahmed Zarger, Noor Mohd Kalwal, Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Mohd Sidiq, Bashir Kashmiri, President Pulwama ,Javid ahmad Bhat and Showkat Dar participated .
