KARGIL: To protest thhe exclusion of former CAPD minister Qamar Ali Akhoon from the cabinet, the Kargil district Working Committee of the National Conference under the leadership of its President Ghulam Hassan Khan has sent its resignation letter to the party high command.
In their resignation letter they have said that they resign keeping in view the prevailing situation due to reshuffling of Jammu and Kashmir State Cabinet by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the sources added.
The Party in Kargil is upset for ignoring the people of Kargil district in general and National Conference party workers in particular by not inducting Qamar Ali Akhone MLA Kargil in the state cabinet thereby ignoring an honest, sincere and senior most party member , the letter reads.
According to sources, those who resigned include Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan President, Mohammad Musa Ladakhi Vice President, Sheikh Raza VP, Zakir Hussain Secretary, Haji Ghulam Amir and Ghulam Rasool Naqvi Joint Secretaries, Haji Mohammad Ali Chief Organizer and Haji Samad, Haji Mohammad Hanif, Aga Syed Ziya, Aga Syed Abass, Shiekh Jalil and Mohammad Ali apart from block presidents and other workers.
