JAMMU: The India Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday airlifted 156 more stranded people, including children and women, between Kargil town in Ladakh region and capital cities Jammu and Srinagar.
“IAF has airlfited 156 more stranded people including women and children between Kargil and capital cities Jammu and Srinagar,” SN Acharya, public relation officer, ministry of defence said.
An IAF plane was pressed into service to ferry 46 stranded passengers to Kargil in Ladakh region from Jammu, he said.
